I am a natural communicator, I have been a keen writer all my life, enjoy meeting new people, learning and developing, planning and putting strategy into action.

Last year I was awarded a WACL (Women in Advertising and Communications Leadership) Talent Award. This was a great accolade and has enabled me to meet and network with some brilliant people. As part of the award, I was granted funding for a training course, RADA Business, Personal Impact. I have also recently joined the Board of Applause, a charity bringing culture into the heart of rural communities to help bring people together and tackle isolation. I have spoken at events, both on behalf of the charity and also at the Public Sector Digital Marketing Summit about building your communications team and the importance of diversity. I have invested in myself with training. I recently graduated from No Bulls*t Leadership; a course recommended by my Mentor to support me in my leadership. There were eight modules and assignments, each helping me discover how I lead and consider how to improve.

I have always been ambitious and right now, I am building my networks, raising my profile, honing my skills and looking for my next challenge.

I have written for print magazines, newsletters, websites, television drama, short films and theatre – as well as regularly writing creative pieces at home which may never see the light of day, but keep my imagination going strong.
